Top 6 brunch spots in Northside Dublin

August 21, 2018

I love brunch, and I love not having to venture into town for it even more. So, I’ve put together some of my favourite spots this side of the city for anyone looking to try somewhere new.

The Baths, Clontarf

The Baths are a relatively new, and are an absolutely beautiful addition to the Clontarf food scene. With unbeatable interiors, and stunning views overlooking the seafront, this spot has definitely become one of my favourites. The Baths is the perfect place for a catch up with the girls over a few mimosas and the instagram photo opportunities here are endless!

Two Boys Brew, Phibsborough

Two Boys Brew is one of my favourite places to go during the week to work, but I also love to chill here at the weekend. The coffee is some of the best I’ve had in all of Dublin and the vibes are super chilled and casual. If you’re heading here, the vegan overnight oats are a must try. They are out of this world and packed with delicious ingredients including apple, cranberry and homemade hazelnut butter – it’s so good I’ve ordered it every single time I’ve been here (but failed to nab a photo!)

The Gourmet Food Parlour, Santry

One of my favourite places to go for brunch has to be my local café – The Gourmet Food Parlour. The food is always amazing, for any meal of the day, and don’t expect to show up and get a spot. This place is always out the door and I would highly recommend booking to guarantee a table. During the summer time, it is so nice sitting out on the terrace out the front and if you’re heading later in the evening, try and nab the top floor for prettier views of the park.

Le Petit Breton Artisan Crêperie, Drumcondra

If you like crepes, this is the place for you. French owner, Gregory Autret, has created a beautiful traditional Breton-style crêperie in the heart of Drumcondra. They offer a huge selection of sweet and savoury crepes, along with a number of french style sandwiches and croques. If you’re anything like me and want something sweet, the homemade salted caramel butter and banana crepe is absolutely unreal.

The Pigeon House, Clontarf

I think I’ve been to The Pigeon House in excess of ten times solely for brunch. Located on Vernon Avenue, a short stroll from the coast this spot combines industrial interiors with a cool coastal vibe. I’ve tried so many things on the menu (which is unusual for me!) and the food is to die for! My favourite dish has to be the Avocado Toast or Scrambled egg with chorizo – but literally everything I have tried here is amazing!

The Lo-Cal Kitchen, Castleknock

If you’re looking for something a little less indulgent, the Lo-Cal Kitchen is the perfect place. Located in the heart of Castleknock, right beside the Phoenix Park this husband and wife duo have created a natural, healthy brunch option that doesn’t compromise on taste! Go for the wholemeal buttermilk pancakes and be sure to try one of their cold pressed juices.
