06 Sep Revolution Beauty: My Top 3 Products
I love makeup and there is absolutely no denying that fact. When I spot a Sephora, Kiko, or any department store, I can’t help myself but to go in and have a look. Normally, the end result consists of two hands covered in swatches and a carrier bag of goodies to try. It’s one of my favourite things to do, and it genuinely makes me happy.
When I stumbled upon Revolution Beauty (about three years ago!) the first thing I noticed was the price. All of the products from lipsticks to full eyeshadow palettes cost less than €20. I also spotted one or two products that were very similar to high end products I used daily, so immediately I was intrigued.
After trying out a number of products from the range, I have gone back and repeat purchased a few. They have become staples in my day-to-day makeup kit, and some of my go-to products overall. Here is a round up of my favourites:
Brow products are something I have tried plenty of. Being Blonde, it can be hard to find a brow pomade that isn’t too dark but also has a strong enough colour to fill in gaps. Prior to purchasing this product, I was an avid user of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Pomade. While it is definitely a great product, I found that it dried out quickly. The consistency between the day I purchased and about a month later were completely different. Over time, it became cakey and after paying €21 for it, I just felt ripped off.
In comparison, I was seriously impressed with the Revolution Pro Brow Pomade. It has a creamy consistency that definitely lasts longer when compared to the Anastasia Beverley Hills formula. I use directly on my eyebrow or add a few drops of Inglot Duraline to create a more precise line. At just €5.99, this product is an absolute steal and I use it every single day.
This palette consists of 8 different shades that you can use on their own or by mixing them together to create a different look. With a selection of mattes and shimmers, it’s so easy to take your makeup from day to night with the sweep of a brush. At €6.99, I couldn’t say no to trying this out.
Personally, I tend to use the matte shades more often as I just prefer that look. However, I find that when you add a pop of the shimmer blended with the matte shades, they give your skin a gorgeous healthy glow. These blushes are a powder consistency so if you prefer the creamy type, this product probably isn’t for you.
I absolutely love this concealer as it is very light and doesn’t cling to fine lines. However, it still gives full coverage. I use this concealer to cover the dark circles under my eyes when I’m tired, or on blemishes. It has a matte finish that is perfect for popping your foundation on top of. I apply a few dots using the applicator and blend using a damp beauty blender. At just €4.99, it’s a great little addition to your makeup bag.
Have you tried any of the Revolution Beauty products? If so, be sure to let me know what you thought.
